How to Change ProWax miniFit Wax Filter?

Replacing your Oticon wax guard (ProWax or ProWax miniFit) is quick and simple. Follow these steps for a proper Oticon ProWax replacement or ProWax miniFit replacement:

Step-by-step guide on how to use Oticon ProWax miniFit

Remove the dome

Gently pull off the dome from the receiver and discard it.

Extract old filter

Insert the tool's probe into the used wax guard and pull it straight out — do not twist.

Insert new guard

Push the new Oticon wax guard straight into the receiver until it clicks into place.

Reattach dome

Slide a new dome back over the receiver — your hearing aid is ready.

🔧 Tool: The tool has two pins — one empty for removal, one with the new wax filter. Insert the empty pin into the used filter and pull it out. Then insert the new filter using the other pin. Discard the tool and the old wax filter.

🕒 How often to change? Oticon recommends changing every 3–4 weeks, or sooner if sound quality decreases.
